In 2024, she was honoured as the Disability Inclusion Changemaker of the Year by Australian Disability Network for her groundbreaking contributions. Briar currently serves as a community member for Victorian Convention and Events Trust and is chair of Merri-Bek Council’s Disability Reference Group.
